MS Christmas Carol
Christmas can be a crazy time of year, even for those who don't live with a illness like Multiple Sclerosis. After many attempts to write this blog post, I leave you with this.
MS Christmas Carol
This the season to be joyful,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
I am tired and oh so cranky,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Swollen ankles and trouble walking.
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Pain creeps in, hitting random places,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
I could hibernate this Christmas,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Insomnia and Sleep Disturbance,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Vertigo while out shopping,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Summers here, and it hates me,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Mind is cloudy, can't speak properly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
I'm wondering if this is worth it,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Excitement on my children's faces,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Santa's been and left them presents,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
My husband is happy, with what I got him,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Their joy becomes infectious,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
My spoons are low, though I am happy,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Friends arrive and there’s lots of laughter,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Time to relax and feel grateful,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Pass the food, and wines a plenty,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
For I survived another MS Christmas.
I hope this Christmas brings you much joy, and that despite the challenges Multiple Sclerosis brings to our lives, you too can find happiness, surrounded by good people.
Merry Christmas! See You In The New Year xxx
